Kevin Garnett and Gilbert Arenas are the two of those legends who are often vocal about things related to the NBA. Both have their own podcasts. Agent Zero has his crew, while KG does it with his longtime teammate Paul Pierce. In one of those conversations, The Big Ticket asked for his co-host’s opinion, but in turn, mocked him for the decision. Leaving avid watchers and fans of the show in splits.
In one of the clips uploaded, “Is it finally time to revive the Legends Game and see KG and P Pierce back in action? 🤔 It’s been 31 years since the last game, but maybe it’s time for a new chapter.” Kevin Garnett asked his Celtics running mate, “Would you play in the Legends game if they bought it back?” The Truth obviously was all in on the offer.
“I mean I still hoop now it depend on the price you know if the price is right come on down.” KG then mimicked the calling action and being the league representative and persuaded Pierce to quote his price. After certain deliberation, the answer was “six zeros.” However, the former Wolves star was having none of that figure, “okay $100,000 it is we’re get it done bye.” Paul Pierce pointed out the flaw and naturally argued his worth. But KG was in a trolling mood!

He stated, “League ain’t give no 6 zeros to come out there with that one leg sh– lord.” The reaction from the former power forward was an entertaining one and even Gilbert Arenas liked it. “😂😂😂😂😂 6 zeros 🗣️ okay 100,000 and hangs up “We aint giving u 6 zeros for that 1 leg” 😂.”

The last Legend’s All-Star game was in 1993 and it has been discontinued since. In fact one of the reasons stated for that was the injuries legends would suffer. So maybe, KG is right, the league won’t pay millions to players if they are already playing on one leg.
Kevin Garnett and Gilbert Arenas chime in on the latest All-Star format

For the first time in the history of the league, the NBA All-Star Game will feature a mini-tournament with four teams. New formats mean the involvement of new GMs and that responsibility on TNT analysts. Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith will pick their respective teams live on TNT in the NBA All-Star Draft. While the fourth team will have Candace Parker serve as honorary GM of the Rising Stars champion.
But the format so far has received negative reactions from the current and past players. Two of them are Arenas and Kevin Garnett. The former thinks it is “disrespectful” while the latter thinks it won’t be “entertaining” enough for the fans. The ratings speak for themselves as in comparison with the 2003 game, it has decreased by half.
Last year it was 5.5 million, so let’s see if the new format brings the energy up. Or should the league try to bring back the legend’s all-star game after a 32-year sabbatical?
