East Carolina star cornerback Shavon Revel Jr., a projected first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL he sustained in practice, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel. That leaves the Pirates (2-1) without their top defensive star for a road showdown with Liberty on Saturday and beyond.
The 6-foot-3 junior intercepted two passes over the season’s first three games while solidifying himself as one of the top cornerback prospects in the 2025 class. Revel burst onto the scene as a lockdown corner in 2023, earning second-team All-AAC honors during his sophomore season.
His combination of production and size have caught the attention of NFL scouts. CBS Sports draft analyst Ryan Wilson pegged Revel as the No. 24 overall pick in his latest mock draft.
