Nothing has gone in the Milwaukee Bucks‘ way in the last few weeks, as they continue to build on their losing streak. Last night, the team perished against the mighty Cavs despite a power-packed performance. While the team can overcome the loss in the coming weeks, the Bucks star had faced something insurmountable on the same night, off the court. The 29-year-old lost a lot of prized possessions in a home invasion, while he was at the game.
Hours after the frustrating 113-114 loss against the Cavaliers, Portis uploaded an Instagram video, requesting his fans to provide leads to find the criminals. The former NBA Champion spoke to the Wisconsin people from his heart, saying, “This is a place I consider home. So, why not make my home a better place?… While I was at my game yesterday, I had a home invasion, and they took most of my prized possessions. If you have any info regarding this, please send.”
The star also added a snippet of two burglars captured by the security camera, as they attempted to gain access to his property. Moreover, Portis stated that it was a targeted robbery, as per ESPN.

It’s truly a helpless sight when an NBA star who cashes millions of dollars has to request his fans for help. Above all, as a motivating factor, the hooper also wrote, “Any information that directly leads to catching the criminals involved or return of my property will be rewarded.”

In response, fans send in their solidarity and promise that Bobby Portis will recover his possessions. It’s not quite often that we witness NBA players requesting their fans to help find their missing objects. But it has happened in the near past as well!

It was none other than Jaylen Brown, the reigning Final MVP! The Boston Celtics forward had an unfortunate situation during the 2024 championship parade. The star lost one of his rings and, most importantly; he didn’t hesitate to take the matters to his fans. Following the event, Brown shared a picture of the ring on his IG stories and wrote, “Reward for whoever finds this ring lost it at the parade.”

Guess what? two fans did help Brown find his lost ring. The 28-year-old star visited the fans in person to collect his item. The star pulled up in an SUV, sporting a hoodie and sunglasses. He jumped out of the car to greet the fans and inspected the ring. The star handed them an autographed ball and insisted them to take the gift, which he handed to them. Happy with the ring in his hand, he said, “One act of kindness is what we need. So we appreciate you,” as he grabbed a picture with them.
