When it comes to talking about retired NASCAR drivers, very few have a hold on their fan base like Dale Earnhardt Jr. The former driver and owner of JR Motorsports has stayed in touch with the sport through his media company called Dirty Mo Media. The company works on podcasts with insights and analysis on NASCAR, and Dale Jr’s commentary is why many follow their shows.
Dale Jr is an expressive person and most of what he says highly resonates with his fans. He has been one of the fan favorites ever since his racing days, as his antics on and off the track have kept fans interested in the sport. One of the things that makes him unforgettable is his radio messages from his racing days. Knowing this, one fan made a montage of some of his more colorful language being used recently on the radio, and fans are absolutely loving it.

Dale Jr recently went behind the wheel at Bristol, replacing last weekend’s race winner, Connor Zilisch. The former NASCAR full-time driver retired after 2017 but can be found behind the steering wheel for one-off races every once in a while. Although his personality is better shown through his full-time career, seeing Jr drive the No. 88 must have been nostalgic for many fans.

Despite not meeting the mark of his father in terms of championships, Dale Jr has amassed millions of fans because of his happy-go-lucky personality. So when a montage of his candid moments from inside the race car at Bristol surfaced on Reddit, there were, of course, going to be fans running to talk about it.
A post titled “Dale Jr.’s uncensored radio at Bristol” showed up on Reddit, and that has started making quite a buzz on the internet. The post was captioned, “For those that didn’t get to hear it on the scanner, I just came across this little montage of Jr.’s radio during the whole radio debacle and other parts of the race. It’s pretty damn entertaining to listen to.”

Seeing Dale Jr in his element while racing is something that brings back memories for many NASCAR fans. Finishing 7th at Bristol only meant that he could have had a better race, and his frustrations are turning out to be highly entertaining for fans.

A fan who brought down their kid for their first race watched Dale Jr go off on the radio, and it’s safe to say that they have become Earnhardt fans. It was not an easy race for Dale Jr, as many problems showed up, but he gave it his all, landing a top-10 finish despite all the setbacks. The fan’s comment read, “I was at the race listening to this whole thing. It was my and my son’s first race. Needless to say, we were highly entertained and watching him rip through to 7th after this—no radio, no glasses, just insane.”
One fan made an interesting observation as they saw who was sponsoring the car. Hellmann, the popular mayonnaise brand, sponsored the No.88, and as their product often comes in a jar, the fan made a witty comment saying, “Hellmann’s Swear Jar.”

One fan also wants to see Dale Jr race more in the Xfinity Series, where he has won 2 titles back in 1998 and 1999. They expressed how they want to see him take part in future races too. This was made clear in the comment that read, “Good to know Dale’s not completely calling it quits (later in the video). He runs well in Xfinity and has fun doing so. Hope he runs at Wilkesboro or Darlington!”
Another fan joked about the fact that Dale Jr would need to do community service for his language on the radio. Although it’s doubtful that will be the case, other fans caught onto the joke, and the comment, “That’s a lot of community service…” started to get more noticed.

A fan of Dale Jr commented, “What a great listen. Love Dale’s bluntness. Shame they had all the issues; I would love to see what Dale could do there without any issues.” Having his car malfunctioned on him became the reason that Dale Jr finished the race 7th. Knowing how well he can drive, this fan hopes to se the 49-year-old bring around better results in a race where he does not have complications.
