Major League Baseball’s franchise, New York Yankees, has the most number of World Series wins than any other team in the league. But, to their dismay, they haven’t won a World Series in the last thirteen years. Even though the Bronx Bombers made it to the playoffs in 2022, they couldn’t make it past the ALCS.

Therefore, the team decided to make some major changes before the 2023 MLB season commences. Aside from naming Aaron Judge the sixteenth Captain, the NYY front office recently re-hired 66 years old San Francisco Giants’ mastermind Brian Sabean as an executive advisor to the General Manager Brian Cashman. And now, Sabean has spoken about his agenda with the Yankees and which is nothing but a hope of ray for the Pinstripes’ bright future.
What is the agenda of the latest acquisition of the New York Yankees?

For those unversed, Sabean began his MLB career as a scout for the New York Yankees organization. In 1986, Sabean was elevated to Director of Scouting, and in 1990, to Vice President of Player Development/Scouting. Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, J. T. Snow, Jorge Posada, and Andy Pettitte were all selected or signed as amateurs by the Yankees’ Sabean. But later, Sabean joined the Giants as their GM and remained with them until 2014, leading them to three championships.
And now, after coming back to the Yankees, Sabean has made it clear that he’s here to help the win by doing everything possible. Calling his return a ‘strange twist of fate’, emotional and overwhelming, he said, “I’ll do anything to help the Yankees win another World Series.”
The executive advisor to Cashman also added that his return to the Bronx has reminded him of the legends Gene Michael and Bill Livesey.
What do the fans have to say about this recent acquisition?
Acquiring Sabean as a crucial part of the team has hyped up the fans hoping for yet another great season, probably with a World Series win after 2009.
