There are a lot of Canadian NHL players at the top of the list. On that list, there’s a name: Connor McDavid. Considered being one of the best NHL players in the world, and even sometimes compared to the Great One, Wayne Gretzky. No wonder playing hockey with older children during his childhood worked out for him.

Some months ago, the Canadian NHL legend Kevin Lowe talked about the star power of Connor McDavid. In the YouTube video, he talked about how Conor is a significant NHL figure and compared him with legends.

Kevin Lowe talked about Connor McDavid’s dominance over the sport. He even compared him with NBA legend Michael Jordan and the Great One, Wayne Gretzky.
“You know, uh, Connor reminds me of Michael Jordan. You know how unbelievable he was, and the Bulls weren’t a great team. But I mean, Jordan was just worth the price of admission. And uh, I won’t say that Wayne wasn’t because he certainly filled a lot of buildings, but it just seems that the off factor with Connor because of the he’s bigger than Wayne. And um and uh, you know Wayne was subtly flashy whereas Connor has this you know the incredible speed,” Kevin said.
Michael Jordan, who is one of the greatest NBA players, was compared to the Canadian NHL player. Kevin acknowledged the legend as always being the best, but his team wasn’t as good as he thought. After his comparison with MJ, Kevin now compares Connor with the Great One. According to Kevin, both NHL players were different but unique. Wayne was flashy, and Connor has speed. Getting compared to the Great One is just on another level!

Connor McDavid has played 8 seasons for the Oilers, compiling 264 goals, 488 assists, and a plus-minus of +96 in 516 games. Although he is nowhere close to the Great One’s NHL records, he is proving his dominance in the sport.

Wayne Gretzky, in his significant NHL career, scored 894 goals, had 1,963 assists, and a plus-minus of +520 in 1,487 games. There are a lot of possibilities that Connor may close in on the Great One’s record if he carries on with his performance until he retires.
