Ryan Reynolds is on a roll. The actor and entrepreneur recently purchased the English soccer club Wrexham AFC and has now set his sights on the NHL’s Ottawa Senators. The move could be worth $800 million. And it has already received the stamp of approval from former Senators player and Hockey Hall of Famer Daniel Alfredsson.

Reynolds has been constantly invested in soccer. He has shown support to the team on several occasions. His presence has really helped the club that plays in the fifth division of England soccer gain popularity and revive back the club. But now it looks like Ryan Reynolds has no intentions of stopping and wants to invest in other sports as well.

While some may see this as a risky move, Alfredsson is confident in Reynolds’ ability to turn the senators around.

Daniel Alfredsson is a former Ottawa Senators player and was recently inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. When asked about his thoughts regarding this move, Alfredsson had some interesting words to say. “Really cool – and not just buying the (soccer) team. They seem really interested and genuine in trying to do it the right way.”- he said.

Alfredsson further added: “If (Reynolds) was part of a group that ended up buying (the Senators), it would be great for everybody involved.”. Alfredsson knows a thing or two about the Senators. Having spent 17 seasons with the team, his approval is a big deal.
