But what is even more surprising is that the developers of the game at Naughty Dogs seem to have taken a pledge to never let the game go outdated. This is also why, every few years or so, fans get news regarding the refurbishing and rebuilding of the game, giving a brand-new chance for players to experience that post-apocalyptic magic once more to fans.

The Last of Us multiplayer spin-off gets a new artwork
In a recent blog post, Naughty Dogs’ co-president Neil Druckmann revealed that the team has been working tirelessly on making a new multiplayer spin-off for ‘The Last of Us’. It is also to be kept in mind that the game has already been remastered for PC and is now also receiving a TV series on HBO Max.
Thus, a multiplayer spin-off is not a huge deal from a development standpoint. However, it is surely a huge upgrade for fans of the series who can now play the game with their friends and embrace the post-apocalyptic world with them.
But talking about the recently released artwork for the game, it seems that the team might be adding a huge super yacht level for players to get the eerie vibe that the original had, along with a vast area, reminiscent of the old world scattered all around.

Back in June 2022, Naughty Dogs announced this multiplayer spin-off with artwork that looked a lot like the second installment of the ‘Last of Us’ franchise. With playable characters standing on a balcony and shooting at some other characters engaged in combat below.
This is also an homage to the actual game that has always emphasized saving ammo and making way for close combat rather than long-range combat, which can waste ammo in a world that has a lot of shortage for the same.
