He is a man who could stay out late and party all night and can still show up for his tee time at a PGA golf event the next day. This is not just a statement but a fact, as he achieved two huge victories by doing this. Adding to his other specialties, he can consume 30 to 40 beers per day before moving on to actual alcohol. He indeed is a Hooters legend and a belly-flop champion. And not to forget, he has a country album too.

But did you know the secret relationship between Daly and Hooters? Claret Jug winner, is in the news headlines because of the revelation of his weird connection with Hooters’ cook, Jon Gruden, who was an NFL coach.

The strange connection between John Daly and Hooters
Caleb Pressley from Barstool Sports was the latest guest on Theo Von’s ‘This Past Weekend’ podcast, and they discussed the few encounters they’ve had with the legend himself. Von recalled watching Daly have to get carried out of a restaurant in downtown Nashville one night. He overdosed on gin.
After Von’s story, Pressley told his story and left everyone in shock. It was related to how he found Daly’s hidden room inside the Hooters corporate office. The room was hidden within the former NFL coach, John Gruden’s office. After conducting some research, Presley learned that Daly’s hole-and-corner location was at the Hooters corporate office, located close to Tampa, Florida.

He went into the corporate office and asked to meet Jon Gruden. Since Gruden wasn’t there, his assistant gave Presley the tour and revealed about Daly’s room. He said, “This is John Daly’s room.” It left Presly in shock, and he asked about it for reassurance. Gruden’s assistant opened it up, and it was like, ‘Chronicles of Narnia.’ The wall had a bunch of books, and he wondered if it could open as a door.

The unexpected discoveries about Daly
Presley further discovered that it was indeed a Narnia situation. The bookshelf opened to another smaller room with a mattress on the floor. He believed John Daly lived in Jon Gruden’s office inside the Hooter’s headquarters. No one could have imagined that.
This whole arrangement felt like something a huge superstar would do and not a professional golfer. But according to Presley, that room was for Daly to sober up after long nights of partying.
