The period between November and February tends to be very difficult for fans to endure. To not have any NASCAR action to look forward to every week is devastating. But with only a couple of weeks remaining until the first race of the season, fans will now be sitting on the edge of their seats. More than that, updates from drivers like Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch add to that excitement.
Both Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch announced major updates in their careers in recent times. Busch will be racing for Richard Childress Racing for the first time, in 2023. After that protracted and overly bitter divorce from Joe Gibbs Racing, his eyes will firmly be on attempting to start his journey with RCR on a strong footing.

Kyle Busch is loving his new team
Since joining the team in the off-season, Busch has posted multiple pictures — some have been of his racing preparations, others have been for media duties for sponsors.
His most recent pictures (through his wife, Samantha’s account) were from Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, one of his new sponsors. The post had multiple pictures of the family enjoying their time at the restaurant.

Samantha wrote in the post on Instagram, “Family night @cheddarskitchen 😋. Mom got the salmon, Dad the ribs, Brexton the steak 🥩, Lennix all the croissants 🥐. Which of our meals would you have ordered?!”
It’s great to see Busch happy and smiling again, after that last few months at JGR. Fans will be relieved and will hope they can see the best of him in 2023.
Jimmie Johnson offers fans the chance to join the Legacy
Johnson, on the other hand, has had a lot of changes too, although not as turbulent or unsettling. After retiring from NASCAR in 2017, the 7-time champion had been racing in the Indy Series.
But that changed when he announced his return to the Cup Series alongside Petty GMS last year. This, however, wasn’t a full-time driving role as in his previous avatar. Johnson was now moving into a part-time owner, part-time driver role.

Things further changed this year, as Johnson and Richard Petty announced the rebranding of the team. They revealed that going forward, the team will be called Legacy Motor Club.
Since it’s a new team, fans yet don’t ‘relate’ to the team. In order to create a connection, Johnson revealed via an Instagram story, they have created a special chance for fans to do that.
In the story, Johnson said “Want a chance to join me at this year’s Daytona 500? Carvana is going to give an experience away to one lucky fan. Click on the link below to enter and have a VIP experience with me at the Daytona 500.” Here’s the link for interested readers.
