Brazil has given MMA a lot of accomplished UFC fighters over the years. UFC 283 saw light heavyweight legend Glover Teixeira announce his retirement after losing to the new light heavyweight champion, Jamahal Hill. Also, Mauricio Rua also announced his retirement following his loss to Ihor Potieria. On the other hand, former UFC featherweight Champion Jose Aldo was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame into the Modern Wing class, and many MMA fighters congratulated Aldo on his achievement. Former UFC fighter, Thiago Santos, took to Instagram to pay tribute to these retired UFC legends.
Thiago Santos has always been an admirer of Glover Teixeira. He had previously heaped praise on the former UFC light heavyweight champion for capturing the UFC title at 42 years old.
‘Marreta’ shared a post on Instagram, congratulating them on amazing MMA careers. Santos also mentioned that they are true champions and deserve the accolades that come their way.

Thiago Santos paid his respects to the Brazilian legends by posting a few photos on Instagram. He also had his son posing for a picture with Glover Teixeira and wrote some complimentary words for all three Brazilian MMA greats. Many fans reacted to Santos’s post and left some very heartwarming words in the comments.

Glover Teixeira has made his intentions clear after announcing his retirement. He will now be the full-time coach for middleweight fighter Alex Pereira. Texeira also promised that ‘Poatan’ will be fighting in the light heavyweight division soon. Meanwhile, featherweight great Jose Aldo has decided to venture into boxing as a part of his post-retirement plans. Meanwhile, ‘Shogun’ Rua has made it clear that he will not be returning to combat sports again.
