Racing is a brotherhood. Regardless of whether it’s a car or a bike that you’re racing, regardless of what format or what country—it’s a family. This family has seen some really dark days, days that NASCAR has been lucky enough to not see in a long time. But the family lost a special member in Ken Block. And the family is here to honor him, with the latest tribute coming from Brad Keselowski and RFK Racing.

Ken Block’s demise came as a huge shock to the racing community. With the 2023 season on the horizon, various drivers and teams have decided to honor the titan. Keselowski and RFK will be bearing a livery on their car during the Phoenix testing session.
In the announcement video released on Instagram, Keselowski said, “Ken Block had a tremendous amount of respect. In the industry and outside the industry of motorsports. Outside of the industry, he did really cool things. Whether it was his videos, or just his unique style—he brought people into motorsports that knew nothing about it.”
“He was just so well known and respected because of that. Inside the industry, he was the daredevil. He was the cool guy that did all the things that, frankly, nobody had the guts to do sometimes. He’s really irreplaceable.”
“So I’m honored to be able to have this opportunity to make the most of his heritage and legacy by honoring Ken back with this paint scheme on our car for our Phoenix test.”
Tributes from NASCAR began flowing in as soon as the sad announcement was made. They will continue to honor the driver who set so many records and inspired so many.
NASCAR salutes Brad Keselowski and RFK Racing’s decision
The announcement to use a tribute on their car for the testing session has been applauded by many—not just fans, but rival teams and drivers too. Their Instagram post was liked by many drivers, including the likes of Noah Gragson and Ryan Blaney.
Fans of the sport also took to Twitter to appreciate the team’s touching tribute.
