Tiger Woods’ Sun Day Red apparel line is throwing it back to 1992 for its newest collection of gear.
The ’92 Collection is an homage to February 27, 1992, when Woods made his first PGA Tour start as a 16-year-old prodigy at the Nissan Open at Riviera Country Club.
While Woods missed the cut at that event, shooting 72-75, his initial setback helped launch the career of arguably the greatest golfer of all-time.
“It was a learning experience. I learned I wasn’t that good,” Woods said at the time. “I learned I have a long way to go. I’m not competitive at this level. I am at the junior level, but not at the pro level. These guys are so much better.
“I didn’t think I was ready for it, and it showed me that I’m not. I just have to grow up, that’s all.”
Now, Sun Day Red is honoring that seminal event with new jackets, hooded sweatshirts, polos and other items for Woods fans or golf aficionados.
“Each piece in this collection honors that origin story, and the photography pays homage to the room where his legendary focus was forged,” reads a Sun Day Red press release. “Where schoolwork came first, but homework shared space with studying the legends of golf. Where music played as he memorized geometry, and every contour of courses he’d never seen.”

Launched in February 2024 after Woods’ nearly three-decade long relationship with Nike ended, Sun Day Red is named after Woods’ trademark Sunday attire on the golf course.
The label bills itself as clothing “for those who lead active lifestyles and seek elevated attire that can be worn on the course, at the gym, in the office, and everywhere their busy lives take them.”
