Fantasy hockey sleepers: David Krejci, Alex Newhook and more under-the-radar targets

Whether you’re drafting or trying to figure out an early season add (maybe filling Brad Marchand’s slot after you drafted the forward just to stash him on IR), it helps to find an under-the-radar option.
So that’s what we’re here to help you do as the puck technically drops on NHL regular season in the first official Friday drop of Fantasy trends and hidden gems.
David Krejci, C, BOS
He’s baaaack! And now he’s actually going to play alongside David Pastrnak at even strength. The return of Krejci is ideal for a team that needed a true 2C. Despite a year way from the NHL, he doesn’t appear to have really lost a step. Rather, he looks motivated and ready to rip next to his fellow-Czech teammate (possible teammates depending on where Pavel Zacha slots).
Sam Reinhart, C/RW, FLA
Whether he slots on the right wing of the top line with Aleksander Barkov, or down a combination with Matthew Tkachuk, Reinhart should be even more productive than he was last year primarily on the Panthers’ third line. Plus, we anticipate PP1 time for the versatile forward.
