It’s a sad day for F1 and NASCAR fans across the globe as one of the most decorated and legendary drivers will retire from America’s premier racing series at the end of the 2023 cup season. The current Stewart-Haas Racing driver is a legend of the sport and has also won millions of hearts during his career. Announcing his retirement age 47, there is nothing else fans can do but share their fond memories of him.

The driver is none other than Kevin Harvick. Among many other things, Harvick is a 2014 NASCAR Cup Series winner. Harvick’s 121 combined national series wins puts him third in NASCAR history. Harvick announced his retirement in a statement which was reported by the official NASCAR website.

“There is absolutely nothing else in the world that I enjoy doing more than going to the racetrack, and I’m genuinely looking forward to this season,” said Harvick. “But sometimes there are just other things going on that become more important and, for me, that time has come.”

Harvick also revealed this process began a few years ago, but he bided his time. He waited for the right moment so he doesn’t feel compelled to come back to the sport.
Following his announcement, Stewart-Haas Racing’s Twitter put out a giveaway to respect the legend. The fans took this opportunity to participate in the giveaway with the#4ever hashtag and share their best memories of the racing legend.
