After playing a vital role in the success of various renowned clubs, including Real Madrid and Manchester United, the 47-year-old has created a legacy of his own. Now, many fans are expecting the same from his youngest child, Romeo, who has recently joined a renowned English Premier League team.
However, before his interest in soccer, the 20-year-old got inclined toward the sport of tennis. In the process, he wasted a significant sum of his father’s money while pursuing his interest. That also includes his lessons with the ATP legend, Andy Murray.

The 20-year-old is currently working hard to carry his father’s entire soccer legacy, particularly after his move to the Premier League club’ B team, Brentford. According to TalkSport, prior to this, Romeo was also a part of Arsenal’s academy but was later released. The 20-year-old then took a break and got inclined toward a totally different sport, tennis.

To keep up with those endeavors, Beckham Jr. also started to take lessons from the tennis superstars, Andy Murray, Grigor Dimitrov, and Caroline Wozniacki. David Beckham was quite impressed to see his youngest son ardently following his passion for the game. Notably, the 47-year-old had built a £30,000 tennis court in their family home. It was installed in the garden so that it would be much more convenient for Romeo to enhance his skills in a different sport.

However, it all came down crashing as Beckham’s son later reignited his interest in soccer. Taking note of this, the co-owner of Inter Miami CF ripped up that court that was made for Romeo’s tennis endeavors. Now that he was back to his old sport, his father revamped it as a five-a-side soccer pitch.

In doing so, Beckham also showcased his support for his son’s decision, as he has always been enthusiastic when watching him play. Notably, the Manchester United and Real Madrid legend also revealed that a part of him was devastated after seeing Romeo’s disinterest in the game.
The 20-year-old Beckham Jr. has already delighted a lot of Brentford fans as his first goal for the English club turned out to be a crucial one in their 3-2 win during the quarter-finals of the Middlesex Senior Cup.
