A former Morgan Stanley advisor is facing civil and criminal charges over his alleged role in a series of schemes that authorities say defrauded three NBA players of more than $5 million.
Darryl M. Cohen, who had been registered as an investment advisor and broker with Morgan Stanley until his dismissal in 2021 amid a raft of customer complaints, allegedly used his clients’ funds for an array of personal expenses, as well as repaying another client from whom Cohen had stolen money as well.
