Tiger Woods is a global icon who has millions of fans worldwide. Even American mixed martial artist and politician, Tito Ortiz, is on the list of his admirers. The UFC Hall of Famer had his fanboy moment in 2019 when Woods won his last Masters. His actions were the epitome of a true fan.

According to the reports of TMZ, the sight of other great athletes still gives Ortiz shivers, but in 2019 he completely fanboyed when he met Tiger Woods, and it was all caught on camera. At the MGM Grand in Las Vegas over the weekend, the former world number one golfer hosted his annual Tiger Jam charity poker game. There, Tito struck up a conversation with the golf legend. Later, Ortiz took out 2 passes from the 2019 Masters tournament and asked him to sign. “Sign My Masters Tickets?!?”

The 15-times major championship winner was obliged. He signed the cards and even posed for pics with the UFC fame. However, there was a big reason to do so. The politician with a net worth of $20 Million explained the reason behind his actions. He made his UFC debut in Augusta back in 1997, the same year the PGA Tour pro won the Masters for the first time. He felt a “connection” with him. Tito confessed to going back to Georgia in April and watching Woods win again.

Despite Ortiz’s defeat in the UFC 13 match, he will always remember the year’s highlights. The former UFC fighter finally had the chance to speak with the golfing star after more than 20 years. Ortiz later confirmed that he made sure to get Woods to sign his 2019 Masters badges for him by claiming, “Tiger actually signed them for me.”
When a professional golfer had her fangirl moment
It was not just Ortiz who had his celebrity fan moment. The cheerful LPGA star, Nelly Korda, also had her dreamy moment in 2021. Many professional golfers live in Florida, and it is obvious to imagine that they cross paths. However, that was not the case for Korda. It was shocking that she never met with the PGA Tour pro. But her dream came true. Woods and his son, Charlie, were finishing their first round at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club. Olympic gold medalist, Korda, was present behind the 18th green. Acting like a little girl, she asked Woods, “Hi, Tiger. I was wondering if I could take a photo with you?” How could anyone say no to this? And Woods being a gentleman, fulfilled his fan’s wish.
