Philadelphia Eagles NFL Draft picks 2023: Grades, fits and scouting reports

The Philadelphia Eagles enter the 2023 NFL Draft on April 27 with six picks over the three-day event.
They will prioritize premium positions regardless of the depth chart. The lines of scrimmage will be a focus, with an emphasis on protecting and rushing the quarterback. The Eagles will be less motivated by 2023 needs than they’ll be by planning ahead, so look at aging positions or those with 2024 free agents (such as cornerback, offensive tackle, defensive tackle and edge rusher) as spots where Philadelphia might seek to fortify. Safety and running back are the two positions with the easiest path to a day one starting role, but those are not premium positions for the team. Also, general manager Howie Roseman likes to trade on draft weekend. He’s made draft-night trades in the first round in four of the past five years.
