Tom Brady is inarguably the greatest NFL star ever. No doubt about that. Having already won seven Super Bowls, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback is in a league of his own. But long before Brady became an NFL phenom, the legendary QB was a baseball player.

Something that happened decades ago would have changed the course of nature had Brady opted for baseball as his professional sporting career. Had he played baseball throughout his career, Brady might have become an MLB icon too, but his fate dragged him to the NFL. And guess what? The entire sporting world would not have witnessed the greatness of Tom Brady in American football.

Notably, Brady was once a part of the MLB side Montreal Expos. Recently, a photo of Brady in baseball gear is doing rounds on the internet. And by his looks, MLB fans are comparing the NFL great with a former Montreal Expos catcher.
Tom Brady was supposed to become the next Gary Carter!
When talking about Gary Carter, the Expos legend was one of the greatest baseball players at the time. With a career that spanned over 19 years, Carter played for the Expos, Mets, Giants, and Dodgers. An MLB Hall of Famer and a World Series champ, Carter won everything a baseball player can dream of.

And knowing that Tom Brady also played at the same position during his short stint with the Montreal Expos, the NFL and MLB fans compared the NFL G.O.A.T. with the Expos legend.
He took a chance on himself by changing his major sport from baseball to football. But in the end, it was all worth it. And the rest is history.
Carter must be glad that Brady didn’t become him!
The moment this picture of Brady resurfaced on Twitter, MLB and NFL fans got united and remembered the great catcher, Gary Carter. He was supposed to be the next Carter, but the possibility of it got vanished as soon as Brady declined the offer from the Montreal Expos.
