Criticism is part of the game. From the best, most successful, and respected NASCAR drivers to a rookie with nothing behind his name, criticism is a common barometer, a certainty for everyone in the sport, and for that matter, in all walks of life. But sometimes, things can go a bit too far, something Xfinity Series driver Ryan Vargas recently experienced and shared with his fans.

The ‘self-made’ NASCAR driver posted a tweet ahead of Thanksgiving in which he shared a screenshot from an unknown number. “It’s not too late to act on it. You being a racist, acting on it would help the world be a better place,” the text read.

At least from Vargas’ reaction, it seems he’s had enough of the senseless hate which comes his way.
“Always great being told to k*ll myself on thanksgiving. Losers man. Idk how people do mental gymnastics like this loser,” Vargas tweeted.

Ryan Vargas heading into the new NASCAR season with a new organization
Right before the final race of the season in Phoenix, Ryan Vargas announced a major update on his NASCAR future. The JD Motorsports driver updated his fans that he will no longer remain with the team once the season ends.
For Vargas, the decision was “not an easy one to make“, but he claimed that as the 2022 season went on, he found himself “ready to take a leap of faith” in his racing career and life.

As for what’s in store for 2023, Vargas sees himself in a position where he can make the best of his opportunities and abilities both inside and outside of the racecar.
“While my plans are still in the air, you will still see me behind the wheel of a race car and I am confident I will be able to land on my feet and make the most of my next opportunity,” he added.
