Kawhi Leonard, after missing 12 straight games, was back on the court for the Los Angeles Clippers. However, the return lasted for just a brief three-game period. Right before the Thanksgiving break, the Clippers faced the Golden State Warriors. However, Kawhi Leonard was ruled out. According to the team, Leonard sat out because of a sprained ankle, and the Clippers went on to lose the game. With that said, a recent update on his injury has left NBA fans in shambles.

The two-time NBA champion has spent more time off the court than on it. All of last season, Leonard was in rehab because of his ACL injury. During the seasons before his ACL injury, Leonard played an average of 60 regular-season games. Unfortunately, injuries have had the best of him. Having said that, the LA Clippers provided fans with an injury update before the game against the Denver Nuggets. The update stated that Leonard would miss yet another game. Following this, fans aren’t being kind to him.

NBA fans have had enough of Kawhi Leonard
The latest update has left NBA Twitter in shambles. Many called him a part-time player while stating that his season is over. “KaWheelChair is cooked”, said one tweet in particular. Some were quick to even demand Leonard’s retirement. Fans came up with a suggestion stating that he should be paid per game, instead of being paid for the whole season.

The LA Clippers’ injury saga
In the game against the Utah Jazz, the five-time All-Star rolled his ankle. The next morning he complained of having a sore ankle. According to Coach Ty Lue, it looked more than just a sore ankle. Despite stating that Kawhi Leonard is getting better, Lue said, “We don’t know a timetable right now though.” So the date of Leonard’s return remains unknown for now.

For the Los Angeles Clippers, the important thing is to ensure Leonard is comfortable. Hence, they are likely taking it one day at a time. On the other hand, Leonard had stated earlier that he just has to keep fighting through these turmoils.

To add to the Clippers’ misery, another star player is injured with Paul George dealing with a hamstring strain. Much like Leonard, George missed the Golden State Warriors game and has been ruled out against the Nuggets. As per reports, George and Leonard are going through treatment together. With that said, fans will hope to see their star players back on the court as soon as possible.
