There is hardly any doubt that Kevin Harvick is one of the best NASCAR drivers out there. With the type of highs and lows he has seen throughout his career, there is only a little that ‘the closer’ can’t do. However, seemingly ‘Happy Harvick’ might not be that happy with switching tracks. Especially when it comes to switching asphalt with dirt!

In the dirt racing circuit, Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson has established himself as one of the most skilled drivers on the track. In fact, his enthusiasm for the sport forced him to host a major Dirt Late Model race in April 2022. And now, after years of participating in the Chilli Bowl, Larson is making his first appearance in the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout in January 2023.

And amidst all of it, Kevin Harvick fans need to know if they’ll see their favorite driver on the dirt track. Recently, a NASCAR fan on Twitter asked if Kevin Harvick will consider dipping his toe in dirt racing ever. And to let his fans in on his racing plans, Harvick replied to the tweet.

This might come as a surprise for many after Kevin Harvick’s public outburst at Bristol Dirt earlier this year. Calling it the most ‘unsafe thing,’ Harvick discussed the issues he faced on the track.

Earlier in 2018, Kevin Harvick opened up about his on-track accident that ended his race at the Bristol Dirt. He revealed, “I can’t see well anyway. When I have to try and figure out where you’re going by the two tire tracks going down the straightaway, that’s new to me.”

He added, “It’s the most unsafe thing I’ve ever done in a race car by a lot. I let off and the guy behind me hit me wide-open because he never saw me.” Upset by the track conditions, Harvick took a dig at the track preparations.

Earlier in April this year, Harvick again faced a similar situation. Disappointed with the track conditions, Harvick said, “The first thing I can tell you is we did a terrible job of prepping the track. Full of mud and there was nobody here to pack the track, so we all look like a bunch of bozos coming in to pit because we don’t know how to prep the track.”
