First, A-Rod’s father abandoned him when he was just a kid; and then he continued to struggle until he made it big in baseball. However, the former Yankees star found his solace when he shared a rare moment with his half-brother during his younger days.

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez got chills when he met his half-brother in a baseball game
Per George A. King III of the New York Post, the then-New York Yankees slugger admitted he got chills when he saw his half-brother in the ballpark. The NY Post report also confirmed that A-Rod’s half-brother, Victor Jr. was an Air Force lieutenant colonel at the time.

“He comes out in full uniform,” Alex Rodriguez recalled in 2004. “I am nervous. It’s the first time I have seen him in years. I was the most proud brother in the world. Because he had his hat, his uniform on, and his badges, and we are in the middle of this crisis in this country.”

“He throws the pitch, and I am filled with goosebumps. He gets a standing ovation for two or three minutes, and I give him a big old hug,” he added.
