Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were a bonafide power couple. Whenever they were seen together out and about in public, it would get covered by the tabloids. A-Rod achieved a lot during his career as a baseball star. And JLo’s career as a singer and actress has garnered her a huge fanbase. This made the couple instantly recognizable no matter where they went and what they were doing. They brought together fans of sports and entertainment like never before.

In addition to this, the couple was beloved for their actions and reactions during public appearances. A-Rod and Lopez were also known for being together in public and were not often seen apart from each other. Alex Rodriguez was out without Lopez on a rare occasion and had an interesting interaction with a fan in 2019.

What happened between Alex Rodriguez and the fan?
Alex Rodriguez shared an interesting interaction with a woman on his Twitter page. In the video, the woman does not recognize A-Rod but says that he looks a lot like J’Lo’s boyfriend. Rodriguez plays along with her and even plays a small prank on her. The woman even looks at a picture of JLo and A-Rod together side-by-side with A-Rod’s face and could not properly recognize him.
Here is how their conversation went:
Woman: “Yeah, A-Rod, Alex Rodriguez. There we go.”
Rodriguez:: “Who’s that?”
Woman: “That’s the guy that J.Lo’s dating.”
Rodriguez: “You’re kidding me, and it looks like me?”
Woman: “Yeah, kind of.”
Rodriguez: “Let me see, put it right next to each other face to face.”
Woman: “It does look…I’m right. I mean it’s not like a good picture of him.”
Rodriguez: “First of all, I’d never wear pajamas that goofy. Never, I mean what a tool.”
Woman: “Oh, here’s another one.”
Rodriguez: “Let me see.”
Woman: “Here”
Rodriguez: “Oh that guy is handsome”

When the fan looked at the second picture of Rodriguez, her whole attitude changed. This is when the fan figured out that the man in front of her was indeed J’Lo’s boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez.
A-Rod revealed his identity moments later, to the shock and disbelief of the fan. The former Yankee seemingly had a lot of fun pulling the woman’s leg.
