Andy Roddick Reveals Enthralling Tale Of How Danielle Collins Made His Family Glued To The TV With Her Tennis

Every tennis fan reserved the evening to watch Danielle Collins‘ showdown against Elena Rybakina at the Miami Open. Besides her amazing performance throughout the tournament, the emotional fact that these were some of the last days of her professional career made it even more engaging. As the match found a connection to such a strong story, even non-tennis fans also took an interest in the game.
Andy Roddick, the tennis entity who is surrounded by said non-tennis fans, including his wife Brooklyn Decker, kids, and in-laws, came forward to narrate how the Collins effect captivated the attention of all the family. “The match was on and I said hey I just want to see if she gets through this game I want to watch uh the end of this real quick,” Roddick said, narrating how he tuned it quickly to see the match.
The retired player explained how her family generally has no interest in the events of tennis, saying, “My in-laws my kids Brooke um and they’re asking about you know that as much as we talk about tennis like they don’t they just don’t care as much as we do.”

Roddick continued to explain how Danielle Collins’ match created a strong impact on the audience, making everyone stick to their TV screens. He added, “Everyone was dialed in on the TV paying attention getting into it, cheering for her story, asking questions, wanting to know more. So I just feel like Danielle Collins kind of brought us all into what she was feeling.”

That has had a positive impact, for sure. I’m learning that my weeks are better with Mr. Q. He’s my son,” Collins said, mentioning how her pet has been lucky for her.

“Having my son here means a lot. It’s also different. I think some of the matches that I have played, I have played very efficient, I haven’t spent a lot of time on court,” she added, delving deeper into the positive impact that she believes came up because of her pet. As hundreds of families continue to celebrate Collins’ victory, it is about that that she drops the emotional angle of her retirement.
