Known for its lavish high school stadiums and state-of-the-art indoor facilities, Collin County is one of the premiere places in the country for high school football.

Notable: Forbes wrote around the time of its opening that Eagle Stadium was a “wretched excess of the state’s mania for high school football.” The stadium closed for more than a year in February 2014 due to cracking in the concrete of the concourse.

Notable: Features a 50-by-30-foot high-definition video board. The stadium’s construction divided residents, but 62% of voters approved the proposal included in the $220 million bond package.

Notable: Boasts 1,000 reserved chair seats and 5,000 bench seats on each side of the stadium, along with a 57-by-63-foot Daktronics scoreboard that includes a 57-by-33-foot HD LED video display. Secured a 10-year naming-rights deal with Children’s Health, which enabled it to have a portable X-ray machine at the stadium and a covered medical tent on the field, among other health benefits.
