For his Fairway Woods, Horschel opts for a $299.99 Titleist TSi2 3W with a 15˚ loft and a $174.99 Titleist TSi2 5W with an 18˚ loft. Featuring a titanium face, the club increases the distance that the ball travels, even in case of mishits. The club also comes with a SureFit hosel that allows you to set your loft and lie angles.
Both clubs are fitted with a Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 70 6.5 TX shaft. The TSi2 series is made for players who want a higher launch and an easy-to-handle club, unlike the TSi3, which is made for players who demand more control over their shots.
For his irons, he chooses the Titleist T100 (3I-5I) and a Titleist 620 MB (6I-9I), both fitted with a True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shaft. The stock T100 comes with either a steel shaft, costing $206/club, or a graphite shaft, which goes for $222/club. The 620 MB goes for $175/club. Billy Horschel’s wedges, putter, and golf ball
Horschel likes to carry 3 different wedges in his bag. The Titleist Vokey Design SM10 is his choice, with lofts at 46° (Pitching Wedge), 52° wedge (Gap Wedge), 56° wedge (Sand Wedge), and a Titleist Vokey WedgeWorks Wedge with a 60° loft. Each wedge also has a special bounce and grind setting. The 46° has a 10F bounce, 10 being the angle and F being the type of grind, which in this case is a full sole, and the 52° has a 12F bounce. The 56° has an 08M bounce, with M referring to a unique crescent-shaped grind. Finally, the 60° comes with a special V grind, which has a V-shaped sole. The Vokey Design Sm10 costs about $189.
As for his putter, Horschel deviates from Titleist and opts for the PING Sigma 2 Tyne 4 Platinum with a PING PP58 Midsize grip. At around $219, the putter provides increased stability and is a popular choice with pros. As for Horschel’s golf balls, he uses the Titleist Pro V1x, which provides excellent control in the short game.
