Francis Ngannou leaving the UFC was hard on everyone associated with the promotion. Whether it was the fans, his fellow fighters, or UFC’s non-fighting personalities. It is pretty sure that everyone is missing their heavyweight champion of the world. The deal did not work out between Ngannou and Dana White because the fighter wanted to respect and freedom, whereas all the UFC could offer him was more money. Although everybody respects the Cameroonian’s decision, there are a few people who are concerned about him. One of the names includes UFC’s popular ring announcer, Bruce Buffer.
In light of recent events, a fellow boxer, Tyson Fury, has called out the Cameroonian fighter. Fury wants to support the newly independent free agent in the world of boxing. He gave his word to ‘The Predator’ for a fight that would help him with fame as well as money. However, UFC’s Bruce Buffer is not on-board with the idea.

“Let’s kick it up spicy, in a cage, 4oz gloves, under Queensbury, and let’s have a badass referee like ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson,” announced the ‘Gypsy King’ while calling out the ex-UFC fighter. In this public statement, Bruce Buffer could not help but show his concern.

It is pretty visible that Buffer loves the fighter he announces in the octagon. “99 percent of the champions that go into the boxing ring are going to lose to the champion of the boxing ring,” said the announcer while explaining that both combat sports are very different in nature.

So, if a fighter is accustomed to fighting one sport, he will face problems in the other if jumped without experience. While talking to the press, he accepted that “if he [Francis] fights a man like Tyson Fury, a lot of eyeballs will be on it and he’ll make a lot of money.”

However, Buffer also did not forget to add: “my concern is if he wins he is on top of the world but if he loses does anyone want to see him box again?” Although the concern raised by ‘the voice of the octagon’ is valid, some people would argue that he is saying it to get Ngannou back to the UFC.
