Dallas Cowboys’ abysmal 2024 season might force Jerry Jones’ hand to flip the team upside down. It’s apparent now that the Dallas Cowboys aren’t in the playoff hunt anymore. It might be better for the owner to think about the next year in advance. Rumors mills have been churning overtime and they say that the former Cowboy Deion Sanders might be the next HC.
The former Cowboy helped the team win the Super Bowl XXX so there’s some level of trust the billionaire owner might place in him. But hiring Deion Sanders comes with a catch. He won’t be going anywhere without tagging his sons Shedeur and Shilo Sanders along for a ride. Don’t take our word for it. Hear what the former Cowboys receiver and 3x Super Bowl champ Michael Irvin has to say about this.
3 decades ago, the Cowboys owner discussed with Irvin that he wanted Deion Sanders to play for him. Apparently, Sanders was just a phone call away from Michael Irvin and came to see him in Dallas. Everything worked out and Sanders joined the richest team in all of sports in 1995. There are high chances that the same thing will happen once again. Except now, Coach Prime might arrive with his own cavalry to become the head coach of the franchise.
If that happens, it won’t be because Sanders has an ulterior motive to milk Jerry Jones for money. It’s because Sanders knows “no other way” but to be with his kids. The Colorado Buffaloes just beat the Utah Utes this Saturday. After the game, Sanders went to the Dan Patrick Show and pointed out how his sons “really never played without me in his life.” And that’s where Michael Irvin is coming from.
Irvin quoted Sanders saying, “My calling is for the kids,” and further pointed out how, “A father like Deion can never turn down being with his son and with his son at quarterback, he’s the coach. So, that’s why I tossed it out there because I know how much he loves being with his sons and I know how much they love being together,” Irvin pointed out on his podcast.
