Baseball legend Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez gained enormous wealth along with success during his playing tenure. He wisely invested his financial resources and set up his own empire. At the same time, he was also once a happily married man. But post-divorce, he lost a significant sum of his fortune in the settlement.

Cynthia is a schoolteacher by profession. ‘A-Rod’ and Cynthia gave birth to two daughters during their time together. However, following widespread rumors of an extra-marital affair between A-Rod and pop megastar Madonna, Cynthia filed for divorce in 2008. Though both ‘A-Rod’ and Madonna dismissed the allegations, the former Yankee did suffer from the after-effects of the divorce.
Divorce that drained out a significant part of Alex Rodriguez’s fortune
Alex Rodriguez built a grand net worth of $350 million through his lucrative MLB contracts and investments. But in 2008, a divorce settlement bound Rodriguez to pay $115,000 tax-free in combined child and spousal support to Cynthia. Post-retirement in 2016, Rodriguez became an adviser to the New York Yankees. He did so as part of his final year of a 10-year, $275 million contract.
However, no matter how big, Rodriguez’s settlement figure doesn’t reach near Kanye West’s massive divorce settlement amount worth $200,000. But back in 2018, a retired Rodriguez still thought he was paying more than necessary to Cynthia. An inside source reportedly said, “They have been discussing his payments for a while through lawyers. Alex takes good care of his kids and he has been good to Cynthia but feels he is paying excessive amounts to his ex that should be lowered since he is no longer playing ball.”

The source added, “He is not going to do anything to change what his daughters get from their father or will he change anything about their time with him. He just feels that his ex needs to come down a bit in what she needs.” Notably, Cynthia later reduced her demand to nearly $50,000 a month.

Back in 2021, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West after an eight-year-long marriage. The couple gave birth to four children during their time together. Finally, in March 2022, the divorce reached an official status. Thus, Kanye is hereby expected to pay $20,000 a month in child support for Kim.
