With the enthusiasm for a player or a team being high among the die-hard fans, the line between cheering and criticizing is often crossed. Ask Jannik Sinner, who was the victim on this occasion. Last week, Sinner mourned the saddening loss of his aunt. However, one of the fans questioned his involvement in the family after he attended the Milan Fashion Week and Olympics promotion while his aunt wasn’t well.
A fan named Pavvy G took to his official Twitter handle and called out Jannik Sinner, saying, “With his Aunty so poorly and now unfortunately passed away, he didn’t missed a single event for Gucci or the Olympics promotion in the last week and is now in Beijing. A sad loss for him and his family but sometimes missing sponsors obligations is important when family involved?”
However, the fan faced massive backlash and deleted the tweet soon after. This isn’t the first time that Pavvy G has been involved in criticizing Sinner in the recent past. Ahead of the US Open, Sinner failed a couple of doping tests from the Indian Wells tournament. However, he escaped punishment after providing a fair explanation about how he came in contact with the banned substance, Clostebol. Despite Sinner not being proved guilty, Pavvy G came down hard on him and also got into a feud with Andy Roddick in this matter. Thus, it is no surprise that fans were angry when he posted an insensitive remark about Sinner.

However, some fans didn’t want him to be spared and called on Sinner’s team to take stricter action. The fans felt that if Sinner didn’t indulge in stopping him, he would further intensify his attacks on the Italian star. As a result, a fan said, “Disgusting and deeply unsettling. Jannik’s team should consider taking legal action at that point.”
Interestingly, Pavvy G is a huge Novak Djokovic fan and has often attacked his rivals. As a result, even the Djokovic fanbase is tired of his poor tactics for engagement and one Twitter user slammed him by saying, “That Pavvy g guy is absolutely vile and pathetic. He is obviously acting like a turnip for the engagement, but he is making a real fool of himself. Even the Djokovic fanboys are getting sick of him.”
As mentioned earlier, Pavvy G doesn’t spare Djokovic’s rivals and called them out on numerous occasions. It included even the greats like Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. As a result, one fan urged him to stop playing these dirty tactics and commented, “This is not shocking from @pavyg and Co. For them, supporting Djokovic means hating everyone. It began with Federer, Nadal, and now Jannik or Alcaraz. Even before the costebol affair, they have already attacked these 2 players because their God found his limits on them.”
