Everton goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic is set for a move to Major League Soccer with Los Angeles FC, TEAMtalk understands.
The 38-year-old joined the Toffees last September on a free transfer on a short-term contract following his departure from Leicester City last summer.
Everton moved for Jakupovic to solve a goalkeeper injury crisis following injuries to Jordan Pickford and Andy Lonergan.
The Switzerland international never made a first-team appearance during his time at Goodison Park. And he was only named once on the bench for the game with West Ham on September 18.
LAFC have made a move for Jakupovic on a free transfer as they look to bolster their goalkeeping options ahead of the new MLS season.
Current No.1 keeper Maxime Crepeau is still recovering from a broken leg he sustained in the MLS Cup final in November against Philadelphia Union.
Jakupovic boasts a wealth of experience having had spells at Leicester, Hull City, Lokomotiv Moscow and Grasshoppers Zurich.
The veteran stopper could be one of a number of moves at the club in January, both in and out.
Lampard future to play role in January business
However, much depends on what the future holds for under-pressure boss Frank Lampard.
The Toffees chief has overseen a run of six games without a win. He also saw his side humiliated 4-1 by Brighton on Tuesday evening.
Sacking Lampard would mean Everton having to name a successor almost immediately to take advantage of the remaining weeks on the January transfer window.
The Goodison Park outfit are currently 16th in the league. However, they are only a point above the drop zone.
