Frustrated Rory McIlroy Cautions Jay Monahan & Co With Stern 6-Word Advice; Calls LIV Golf Merger Delay a ‘Shame’

Rory McIlroy has long been a proponent of the unification of the two seemingly divergent ends of the golf world. What would have been concluded by December 31, 2023 has still not found a destination. The frustration pertaining to the delay has now reached to the players, and golfers like Rory McIlroy are not happy. The Northern Irishman has offered a stern advice to Tour commissioner, Jay Monahan with hopes of speeding up the long-stretched process.
The 34-year-old gave a piece of strong advice highlighting the need of a correction. His exact words were, “There needs to be a correction. I think what’s happening is not sustainable right now, so something needs to happen to try to bring it all back together so we can all move forward so we don’t have this division that’s sort of ongoing.”
McIlroy who has lately been in support of the LIV Golf referred to the defecting players as “very best players in the world” and said that its a “shame for the overall game of golf and for fans” that everyone is not playing together.
