Recently, Northwestern took to their Twitter (X) account and posted a couple of pictures of their new head coach, Tim Nollan. Along with the pictures, the team also congratulated Tim Nollan by penning, “Welcome to Northwestern, @tim_nollan! Tim Nollan named Head Volleyball Coach.“
In an exclusive interview with Inside NU, Northwestern athletic director Derrick Gragg appreciated the recent recruitment by saying, “He’s a winner and is the right fit to deliver a first-class experience to our student-athletes while leading our volleyball program in one of the nation’s premier conferences. I couldn’t be happier to officially welcome Tim, [his wife] Kristen, [and children] Avery, Emma, and Deacon to the Wildcat family.”
Nollan is joining Northwestern Univeristy after dedicating eight years of coaching excellence as a head coach at the Grand Canyon University. In addition to this, he flipped the slopes by leading the Grand Canyon Volleyball team to their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance and five consecutive winning seasons.

Although the team has made a 35-year streak of making .500 conference records, it is still yet to overcome the 14-year curse. As Nollan led Grand Canyon Volleyball to their first appearance, there are higher chances that he will be guiding Wildcats to their first NCAA Tournament showdown in 2024.
