What could be more precious for a child than spending time with their father? While the answers may differ, for Serena Williams‘ husband Alexis Ohanian, it’s the cherished moments spent watching NFL games with his father, Chris Ohanian. Their joy doubles when their team wins, making the moment unforgettable. Recently, the Reddit co-founder shared a heartwarming social media update that perfectly captures this equation, showcasing that no matter how much we grow, the bond with our fathers remains unchanged.
Ohanian has once again shown that he’s not only a great father but also an equally caring son. Just as he shares an intense bond with his daughters Olympia and Adira, the Reddit co-founder maintains a close equation with his father, Chris, a successful businessman and owner of Infinity Global Travel, a thriving company in Maryland with 24 years of professional service. Chris and Alexis Ohanian are die-hard fans of the Washington Commanders, a popular NFL team. The Reddit co-founder has often shared how, since childhood, he accompanied his father Chris to Commanders games. Recently, he posted another heartwarming update involving his father and their favorite NFL team.
In a recent IG update, Ohanian shared several photos of himself and his father attending a Washington Commanders vs. Tennessee Titans game, where the Commanders conquered 42-19. The father-son duo looked visibly delighted, smiling in the photos. In his caption, Ohanian wrote: “I brought the crew together for a @commanders game today. The first thing I did in 2006 when I first sold @reddit was upgrade my dad’s season tickets from 2 nosebleeds to 4 front-row seats, and we didn’t miss a home game for ten years. We tailgated out of a burgundy Ford Taurus with a Coleman grill and some Jameson. We’ve come up! Now we’ve almost all got kids, so I’ve outsourced the tailgating work [smirk emoji] And Grandpa got a great big W.” Ohanian’s words expressed his deep appreciation for these lovely bonding moments with his father over Commanders’ matches.

Nearly a year ago, Ohanian shared interesting memorabilia involving himself and his father Chris at a Washington Commanders game. He shared an old newspaper clipping showing the two looking disappointed after their favorite team’s defeat. Along with this, the Reddit co-founder shared another photo of a wall in his father’s house, adorned with the Washington Commanders’ memorabilia, including the legendary Sean Taylor jersey. “This is a wall in the man cave I helped build my dad in his home… I’ve got some more collectibles on the way for him,” Ohanian wrote, showcasing his intense dedication to fulfilling his father’s wishes.
Alexis Ohanian’s respect for his father is deeply rooted. Before the birth of his second daughter, Adira, he expressed deep gratitude for the core principles of fatherhood his father Chris taught him. His heartwarming emotions reveal how the strong bond he shares with his daughters is a reflection of the love and values inducted in him by his father.

In a social media post, Ohanian delved deeper into his commitments after his daughter’s birth and expressed deep gratitude to his father for teaching him how to create the special bond he shares with Olympia and Adira. Last year, before Adira’s birth, Ohanian wrote, “Any man can be a father, but not every father is a dad. I’m grateful that I had such a great role model in my dad, Chris Ohanian, who is the reason why I know what matters. Thanks for all those chores that taught me discipline; all the football tosses; and letting me tease you. I’m sensing a pattern here…” His words echoed pure love and respect for his father.
Alexis Ohanian is an inspirational father. However, his skills were inherited from his father Chris who taught him love and compassion. Today, while he still enjoys watching an NFL match with his father, it says that when love is pure, nothing changes between a parent and their children, even when they grow adults.
