How times have changed at Hendrick Motorsports. It’s in equal measure blissful, that it happened, and equally weird that it happened in such a long time—that the HMS drivers are now allowed to participate in racing outside of NASCAR. But what’s even better is they’re all supportive of each other, something which Chase Elliott and William Byron recently proved with their support for Alex Bowman.
Bowman recently took part in the East Bay with the All-Stars and posted a video that showed the action from (almost) his point of view.
“Ride along to win the dash tonight at East Bay,” he captioned the video.

Chase Elliott and William Byron support Hendrick teammate Alex Bowman
Interestingly, Chase Elliott and William Byron liked Bowman’s video, showing their support for their NASCAR teammate. Moreover, other NASCAR drivers like Daniel Suarez and Matt Benedetto also commented on the video.
“Swear that LF tire moves more than the steering wheel,” Suarez wrote to which Matty D replied, “@daniel_suarezg before I saw your comment I thought the exact same thing 😂.”

In a conversation on the Heidi and Frank Morning Show, Elliott was asked whether there is some clause in his contract that allows or disallows him as a Hendrick Motorsports driver to participate in activities outside NASCAR.
“Within reason, within reason,” Elliott responded. “We try to be responsible in the things that we do. But also many times, some of those things are opportunities.”
