It is completely normal to be envious of famous personalities who have millions of fans around the world look up to. People idolize them because of their talents, lifestyle, and beauty. However, what fans often forget is that celebrities were also normal people before they rose to fame. They have also had their fair share of struggles before they reached where they are now. You don’t get everything in life without paying a price for it. And that is what the five-time NBA champion Dennis Rodman talked about in an interview with Lewis Howes. In 2019, Rodman appeared on a podcast episode with Howes, where he talked about his ESPN 30 for 30 Documentary. He said that his documentary was mostly aimed at the new generation and fans could know about his rags to riches journey.

Dennis Rodman reveals why he embraced the negativity in his life
During the interview, Dennis Rodman revealed that learning to accept the negative feedbacks eventually helped him reach where he is. The former Chicago Bulls player stated that back in the day, his emotional vulnerability always led to people criticizing him for not being manly enough. He also added how the society has evolved so much that men are not ashamed of expressing their emotions anymore. Furthermore, he said that showing off his feminist side and visiting gay clubs led to people thinking that he was gay.

Additionally, he added that if he hadn’t accepted the negativity in his life, then he wouldn’t have been able to achieve all the good things that he now possessed.
“Without the negativity, I wouldn’t be here. I mean, I didn’t become Dennis Rodman to be good because I was good. It was all the other stuff that made Dennis Rodman who he is today,” said Rodman.
Furthermore, he added, “If I was good all the way through, I wouldn’t have left Detroit, I wouldn’t be sitting here, I wouldn’t be doing a lot of things.”
