Daniel Rapport, the golf reporter, recently brought us an interesting story. This time the golf ‘caddie’ cornered Sahith Reddy Theegala for one of his episodes at ‘Side Gig’. Sahith Theegala, PGA Tour Pro had lots of intimate experiences to share. He turned pro recently, in 2020, and since then his love for the game and the impact it delivers has never lessened. In particular, when he was asked about his encounter with Tiger Woods. He commented ‘pretty epic’ and traced the memory of the first time he talked to the legend.
First time talking to Tiger Woods and Sahith was speechless
The 24th OWGR holder had all praises for the GOAT. He couldn’t believe that his breakfast at Riv would be delivered with a bear hug from Tiger Woods. The intensity of this gesture must have been so intimate that Sahith expected it to be from his fellow golfers at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship or maybe a family member.

The surprise was even more memorable because the pro-golfer praised Sahith for his game. His performance as a golfer had compelled Tiger to come up and acclamation his skills. This must have been a breathtaking moment for the rising PGA Tour star. The emerging golfer could not have imagined a better start for his day than a hug and a compliment from the five times Masters Champion. This moment he’ll cherish for a very long time.
Theegala, like many golf followers, had a surprising reaction to this encounter. He had so many questions for the golf superstar and wanted to hold a conversation with the 15 times major winner inquiring about his health. However, the star of Netflix’s Full Swing could only muster up a an awestruck look and a series of thank you.

In episode 1 of ‘Side Gig’, Sahith’s ‘I’m F***ing Looking at God Here’ reaction to the first acquaintance with Tiger Woods isn’t out of ordinary. Tiger has delivered laurels to this beautiful game. He is not only famous among the golf fans, but people across the globe know the game because of him. It is only natural that Sahith would feel astonished with the gesture he received. His actions display the respect he has for the GOAT, and his contributions to golf.

Any one in his shoes would have been flabbergasted meeting the legend for the first time. It is not everyday you meet the star of the game you love.
