Chase Elliott is one of the biggest names in the NASCAR Cup Series. The 2020 champion has been one of the toughest competitors out on track. Also, he also rarely opens up about a lot of things in his personal life. However, back in 2019, he was asked about his greatest weakness and Elliott did not hold back to give an answer regarding it.
However, he wasn’t necessarily talking about his biggest weakness in general, like on-track stuff. Instead, the Dawsonville native’s mind was stuck on food. More specifically, breakfast cereals. Turns out that just like many of us, the Hendrick Motorsports star is addicted to cereal. Furthermore, he finds that to be his biggest weakness.

During the interview, the Hendrick Motorsports driver stated, “Cereal, like just in general. Like it’s such a bad thing for you but I absolutely love eating cereal. I’m a big Special K red berries fan. I like Cheerios, so those are my two.”
Chase Elliott is also a fan of McDonald’s
Though Elliott remains on a healthy diet for the most part. Since he has to remain fit during the prime season. Meanwhile, he also has regular cravings for fast foods.

A few years ago, he revealed what was his favorite meal at McDonald’s. A shy Elliott responded that would be the kid’s meal. He apparently hadn’t visited the place in a very long time. So the last thing he remembered was having the kid’s meal. Probably that is why he picked such.
Aside from his one-off instances of veering toward unhealthy food. Elliott actually has a pretty impressive diet that helps him maintain his fitness. In today’s age, fitness would be one of the biggest things an athlete of his stature could focus on. Considering how long NASCAR drivers have to sit in the cars during the races. Their mental as well as physical fitness levels have to be a major factor to keep track of. Gone are the Tony Stewart days. Even he started keeping fit in order to be competitive alongside younger talents out on track.

Surely, Elliott is also human and may wish to give into indulgence once in a while. After all, he himself is conscious enough that such foods aren’t good for him. So at the end of the day, anything in moderation wouldn’t bite back. Elliott is currently only 27 years old and has a long road ahead of him. He very well understands what he needs to do in order to remain competitive for the next decade or so.
