Tommy Fleetwood had been seen gracing the Las Vegas Country Club with other LIV Golf players. The recent sighting of the English golfer sparked curiosity in the golf world about whether Fleetwood would be the next in line to join LIV Golf.

On a Thursday morning, before LIV Golf started its play at the Las Vegas Country Club, Tommy Fleetwood had flown to be trained under the legendary instructor Butch Harmon (who is currently training Harold Varner III). While training, Fleetwood also met some of his old friends in the league. He was seen chatting with Sergio Garcia, which was shared on X by Sports Illustrated reporter Alex Micelli.
Although the post asked not to read more into the image than it was in reality, it did not take time for the rumor mills to start spinning. So, is Fleetwood joining the PIF-backed league? Well, the English golfer’s latest signing could give us some insight into his mind and his thoughts regarding his golfing future.
The 7-time DP World Tour winner was one of the first golfers to sign with Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s innovative simulation league, which will go on floors in 2025. The Englishman has recently been inducted as the last player to join Serena William’s Los Angeles Golf Club. Another reason to not believe any rumor that may arise due to Fleetwood’s presence at Las Vegas CC is that the 33-year-old does not find playing at the PIF-backed league’s courses best for his golf game.

Tommy Fleetwood takes a strong stance on LIV Golf
After winning his seventh victory at the DP World Tour, Tommy Fleetwood told BBC Sport that he had been approached by LIV Golf and had rejected their offer. He said, “I’ll always be doing what I think is best for my golf game, and at the moment that is what I am doing. [playing at DPWT].“

The indirect answer to the LIV Golf question by Fleetwood had put an end to all the brewing rumors of him joining the breakaway circuit. He is more than content playing on the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour. Fleetwood believes “at some point, we’ll either all play together, or we won’t,” but he is waiting to find that out.
