“Because he steals all of my moves.” Michael Jordan positioned Kobe Bryant as the only guy who could ever beat him 1v1. But the list of his favorites playing 1v1 in their prime also featured LeBron James. In 2015, once again MJ said, “No question” when he was once again asked about the matchup against the Lakers #23. And to dive deep, we recently had the Gilbert Arenas crew to help everybody find out the real winner.
Media veteran Bomani James said, “I feel like the difference between Mike and Kobe and LeBron. LeBron likes winning. Michael Jordan likes beating people. He (Michael Jordan) wants to beat people. He is a sociopath, He wants you to lose. I don’t think LeBron is built in that way.” The 44-year-old continued on ‘Gil’s Arena Season 2 Finale’, “Kobe is the same way. He wants you to lose and one-on-one is not so much about winning as much as I want to beat this person that is directly across me.”
The ex-ESPN employee’s suggestion of similarity between Kobe and Michael Jordan is nothing new. That’s why even MJ chose Kobe earlier, knowing about the similar playing style and drive. That’s why even Bryant claimed he could beat LeBron James in 2010.

“I’d win, I’d win, I mean, that’s what I do,” the Lakers legend said without hesitation, just like Michael Jordan. Then, Kobe was on a tour to the London School of Basketball in 2010. Interestingly, visiting the same place a year later was LeBron James. So naturally the question came up, which the 40-year-old was tired of. “I’m a team basketball player; it’s not a 1 on 1 sport. But I’m not gonna not take myself against anybody, I always feel that no matter who I’m going against that I will come out victorious.”
