In the 20 years of his career, the former MLB shortstop Derek Jeter had gotten himself compared to many legends in the sporting world. And one of them is none other than the NFL star quarterback, Tom Brady. Both athletes have previously talked about them being a fan of each other. They’ve also praised each other for achieving everything they did and have been in awe of their drive and desire to win.

Therefore, it was quite common at the time for people to compare them overall as a human or an athlete. They wanted to know who was the better athlete and who had achieved more. American sports fans have always wanted to know who has been the best between Jeter and Brady. But when Jeter talked about it, he swiftly shunned all the comparisons that were brewing between him and Brady.

What did Derek Jeter say about him getting compared to Tom Brady?
MLB fans were left awestruck when the NFL star Tom Brady confessed about being a fan of the former shortstop Derek Jeter in an interview in 2012. It was the same for NFL fans when Jeter said the same for Brady. Naturally, comparisons between the two of them had started brewing as soon as the two praised each other.
“Just let him be him,” Jeter said, on his comparisons with the NFL star. “He’s doing a great job of being Tom Brady.”
The former Yankees’ shortstop has never been the one who divulged himself into any kind of controversy. And for him, it was the same with comparisons with his fellow athletes.

Jeter and Brady: A long-standing relationship
Since both of them are two of the biggest sports personalities in the world, they got offered to endorse many products. Once, in 2006, both Brady and Jeter were in contract with Movado to promote the company’s high-end sports watches.

However, Brady had signed the contract long before Jeter did. And over a decade later, in 2020, when Brady was getting ready for his first season with the Buccaneers, he had rented out Jeter’s Tampa mansion for almost a year. Though he left the mansion because of a lack of privacy.
