Good news for all Chase Elliott fans. The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season will witness the return of the famous Hooters “Night Owl” paint scheme. Sharing the images of the fresh livery on his #9 Chevrolet, Elliott posted the latest look on his Twitter account. However, not everyone seemed excited about it.
As soon as the Hendrick Motorsports driver posted the black, orange, and teal blue paint scheme, NASCAR fans pitched in their views in the comment section. While most people were excited to see the Night Owl scheme back, a few others did not seem on board with the new design.

Disappointed by the choice of colors and the design, especially the bluish line, a few Twitter users called it weird. Whereas according to others, the Hooters mascot (the owl) looked photoshopped.

However, this does not mean that the new paint scheme was not a hit. Many other Twitter users applauded the creative Hooters Night Owl scheme. In fact, some of them crowned the #9 a “beauty” with its new and fiery paint scheme.
Chase Elliott on driving a truck at Daytona
The season opening of the Craftsman Truck Series on February 17, 2023, will mark the 18th Truck start in Chase Elliott’s career. As reported by NBC Sports, Elliott will ride the #35 McAnally Hilgemann Racing Chevrolet at the Daytona 500 track.

Sponsored by NAPA Auto Care, riding a truck at Daytona 500 is a huge deal for the 2020 Cup Series champion. Excited about the opportunity, Elliott told NBC,
“This will be the first time I’ve driven a truck at Daytona, let alone a superspeedway. There’s no better team owner than Bill McAnally to do it with, as he’s been involved in racing and been associated with NAPA for a long time.”
