The two, who have been dating since 2020, were vacationing together in the Caribbean when the NBA star popped the question. Harlow proudly shared photos with her man and the ring on social media and now everyone is talking about the huge diamond sparkler.
Here’s how much that stunning ring cost and how Kuzma managed to catch Harlow by surprise when he asked her to marry him.
How Kuzma surprised Harlow with his proposal
With a few days off during the regular season for the NBA All-Star break, Kuzma whisked his lady away to Turks and Caicos. The pair first took a trip to the island in 2022 and while swimming under the stars, Harlow said it was the ‘best day of her life’ so Kuzma knew then that would be the perfect place to propose one day.
On Feb. 13, 2025, they set off for a romantic weekend getaway and Kuzma chartered a private plane. When they got to their cabin there was Champagne and the room was filled with roses, balloons, and chocolate. Because it was the day before Valentine’s Day, Harlow thought it was just for that and didn’t realize what her beau was about to do.
She gushed to Vogue about the surprise proposal saying that Kuzma “threw me off the scent” and “I was just like, ‘This is so cute for Valentine’s Day, oh my gosh!’” But then the basketball player asked her to sit down beside him and read her a poem he wrote with the last line: “Will you be my wife?”
The model happily accepted and told the publication she’s “over the moon.”
Another surprise is that both of their families were on the island too as they traveled there to celebrate the engagement with the happy couple. Jagged Edge’s hit “Let’s Get Married” played as Kuzma and Harlow arrived for dinner on the beach with their loved ones, and a fireworks show followed.
How much Kuzma dropped on the custom 8.5-carat ring he designed for Harlow
The athlete designed the exquisite ring himself and explained: “I never really asked her what type of ring she liked or anything. I just wanted to draw a picture of what I felt resembled her — something that was elegant, but very timeless and simplistic at the same time.”
The diamond experts at the U.K. jewelry retailer Steven Stone took a closer look at Harlow’s ring to determine how much it cost.
