Marathon, which is a test of durability and speed in runners, sees many athletes from all over the world come to take part in it. But sometimes a runner provides the spectators with something so unique that they’re barely able to forget. This was the case when track and field runner Won Jung ran the 2023 Boston Marathon, whose video was featured on X account Fastbreak Hoops. While his timing wasn’t that impressive, what caught people’s attention was the fact that the runner had run the entire course while dribbling a basketball.
He did so in association with the Shooting Funds program to raise awareness and money for their cause. The unique story that he had was featured in the SiriusXM NBA’s “The Starting Lineup” radio show hosted by Frank Isola and Brian Scalabrine. Thus, many in the track and field community found the whole thing very interesting.
