Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles’ undefeated run came to an unfortunate end. Not many would’ve foreseen the Eagles losing to the Washington Commanders. Yet, the Commanders pulled off a least-expected 32-21 victory over the previously 8-0 Eagles.

The Eagles were outplayed on the field and were handed the first loss of this season. Before this victory, the Commanders were at 4-5. Although, an officiating error during the game may have caused a different result altogether.

Regardless, the Eagles now stand at 8-1. Jalen Hurts opened up post the Eagles’ loss. The Eagles quarterback made some statements after their defeat.

Hurts said, “I think in the end it’s about how you respond, regardless of what’s in front of you. How do you respond to this scenario, how do you respond to that scenario, how do you respond to the joy, the feeling of you, how do you respond to the feeling of pain, I’ve got a good feeling how we respond [sic] “

A majority of Philly fans seemed to back their young quarterback with positive messages of support. There were others who called the team a fraud, stating that their victory streak was only caused by their easy schedule.
The Eagles will hope to put this disappointing loss behind them when they take on the Indianapolis Colts in their next game.

The Commanders currently sit at the bottom of the NFC East with the Cowboys, Giants and Eagles ranked above them. The Commanders who now stand at 5-5, will be taking on the Houston Texans in their next bout.
