Sportscaster Al Michaels has been treated to some severely lacking football performances lately. His name has been making the rounds on Twitter because of certain lines during games that are concerning and entertaining fans at the same time.

Among the sub-par games, which Michaels has had to call after leaving NBC for Amazon Prime Video so far, is the miserable Broncos-Colts game where both teams failed to score a touchdown. Having to witness these games seems to be a torturous experience.

The sportscaster said that he might have to retire before enduring another game like the one between the Colts and Broncos.
Al Michaels does not sound happy

Michaels was pretty upfront about what he felt. The sportscaster made a rather candid statement.
He said, “If we don’t have a better game than we had last Thursday then I may retire, I’ve done pretty close to 800 NFL games, and with all due respect, guys are trying I understand and we all know that, but that was grim.”

Pro Football Talk’s managing editor Michael David Smith said, “I think Al Michaels is the best play-by-play announcer in the history of TV sports, and I’ve always liked Kirk Herbstreit on college games, but these Amazon broadcasts just haven’t been very good. (Obviously doesn’t help that the Thursday night games haven’t been very good.)”
