Pronman: NHL prospects who stood out in preseason games

Today I’m going to highlight a few prospects who I’ve liked throughout their camp process between rookie games and preseason games, but focusing on the latter.
This is not an exclusive list of preseason standouts, as obviously I have not watched every game, so please do not take a team or player’s omission as a slight.
Kevin Korchinski, LHD, Chicago
Korchinski has gotten a lot of praise from NHL scouts throughout his camp with Chicago. His game vs. Detroit, for example, was excellent. He looks to be calm and poised even playing against NHL players, making plays and doing so with pace. His defensive game is just OK at this stage, but he looks like a player who, when he arrives in the NHL, is going to make an impact in transition and generate a lot of offense.
Brandt Clarke, RHD, Los Angeles
Clarke has been one of the bigger standouts of the camp process. He’s turned a crowded defense situation in Los Angeles into a more crowded situation as the former eighth overall pick is going to make this a tough decision for the Kings: Do they keep him or send him back to junior given that Sean Durzi needs waivers and first-round pick
