Jay Monahan has got a lot on his plate. At least that is what it seems like. He has been working on so many things together. To begin with, the new changes are to be implemented in 2026. He has managed to get an entirely new set of rules and regulations sanctioned for the season. He is searching for a new CEO, has started PGA Tour studios, and a Creator Council. Then there is the LIV Golf PGA Tour merger, which he has been hanging. But what has left everyone infuriated is the fact that he is willing to work on big things, but small things are going unnoticed.
The 2025 season of the PGA Tour is all set to kick start with the signature event The Sentry in Hawaii. It’s just a matter of hours before it begins, and mind you, the field has only sixty players with some of the top players competing. But well, with such a close margin for the new season to begin, as it turns out the schedule has not yet been put up on the tour links app, which is mostly for the players to keep track of. It is there on the official website of the PGA Tour though.
Harry Higgs was left utterly frustrated with this, and he took to his official X account and complained, “Hey @PGATOUR put our 2025 schedule iCal link on the tour links app already. Have checked for a month and still not there. All these changes let’s at least get the little things right! Happy New Year!”

Well, it is not an unknown fact that not just the PGA Tour Pros, but the entire golf community is frustrated with the ongoing of the PGA Tour. And this time was no different.
The golf community stands by Harry Higgs
Harry Higgs has always been very vocal about everything. He has never failed to express his viewpoints on any issue. Be it spreading awareness about mental health after Grayson Murray passed away, or sharing his frustration about the merger process. The PGA Tour and PIF had been locked in talks since June 2023, though the discussions actually started even earlier. The top brass from both sides had been negotiating for several months before the June 6 announcement. The initial ‘peace treaty’ was scrapped in favor of a more dynamic and all-encompassing deal that was still being worked out.

The slow progress had frustrated players to no end. Jay Monahan, the PGA Tour Commissioner, had been asked to resign multiple times by various players. However, none had expressed their frustration quite as openly as Harry Higgs did during a recent appearance on the No Laying Up podcast. Higgs appeared visibly frustrated with the flood of emails in his inbox, hinting at an impending deal and upcoming changes. Taking to this, one of them motivated him to be more outspoken, taking his side wrote, “Comin into 2025 hot Mr Higgs. No better way. Big things this year big things”. While another making fun of Jay Monahan actually working on important things, wrote. “Jay Monahan: No”.
This is a developing story..
